About Kanakapura Road

Overview :
Kanakapura, is a small town in the Ramanagar district in Karnataka, which is known as the silk town of India and is the headquarters of the Kanakapura Taluk. The road from Bangalore that leads to this town is known as the Kanakapura Road. It starts from Majestic in Bangalore and stretches up to approximately 27km leading to the Kanakapura Taluk. Strategically located on NH-209, the road is also popular for its lush greenery and wide open spaces that are tucked in with several lakes. Though predominantly known for sericulture production and granite industries, Kanakapura Road has secured a spot on Bangalore’s realty map due to the presence of IT/ITeS companies.

Connectivity :
Situated on the NH-209, Kanakapura Road is served by BMTC buses that ply regularly on the stretch.
Prominent railway stations along the stretch include Bidadi Railway Station, the Kengeri Railway Station, the Jnana Bharathi Railway Station and the Ramanagara Railway Station.
Majestic Bus Station connects most of the areas in Bangalore to Kanakapura Road and several major junctions come along the same stretch that includes Chamrajpet, Gandhi Bazaar, Basavangudi and Banashankari.
The Kempegowda International Airport is about 41km away and can be reached in about 90 minutes.
Kanakapura Road also has a better connectivity from Mysore Road via Nice Road.

Factors for Growth :
The recently opened Purple Line of Namma Metro, connecting Hasaraghatta Main Road, Magadi Road, Peenya and Mysore Road, has significantly improved the connectivity of the area. It is also expected to auger well for the realty market by reducing traffic snarls in the times to come.
